Wind-induced conductor vibrations compromise the reliability of overhead transmission lines and require measures of protection against these vibrations. RIBE Engineering ensures proper design of these measures.

Transmission line conductors can be excited into vibration in the natural wind. Particularly, high frequency vortex-induced vibrations in a range from roughly 5 to 150 cycles per second can result in conductor fatigue breakages and put line reliability at risk. The RIBE Engineering has proprietary computation tools at hand to assess vibration of conductors and design the necessary vibration protection schemes.
