Line damage – what happened?
Inspection of fittings and conductors with the experienced eyes of the RIBE experts gives the answer.
Many overhead lines are nearing the end of their design service life or have already reached it. Does the condition of conductors and fittings allow a lifetime extension? The RIBE Engineering Team examines samples of conductors and fittings taken from the line and assesses their condition and rates their serviceability taking into account the most recent standards and the standards valid at the time of erection of the line.
Damage or failure of conductors in the vicinity of fittings? Damage or failure of fittings?
The RIBE experts analyse the damaged line components, trace back the root cause of damage and give recommendations for corrective action.
We assess thermally conspicuous joints and clamps and give technical support for remedial action.
